"Ladies shine @ One Movement"

However, it was ZE! who had to be the ultimate gay performance for the day. Her entire show, visually and musically, is a brash tribute to the likes of Madonna and M.I.A. Donning local fashion label Lonely 8-bit Heroes, the Malaysian-born ZE! imbued a distinct taste for outrageous fashion, sound and lyrics which set the cold evening alight. Other female-led acts included Sally Seltmann and Queensland quintet, Operator Please. - Out in Perth

""I AM GLAM" album review"

"...like a sluggish caterpillar morphing into a raunchy butterfly, Malaysia now has its 1st risqué pop singer. Don’t be fooled by the Madonna-Gaga-ish image, this girl can rock up some smart, naughty lyrics like on ‘Candy’ (“He likes to mess my hair/Make it look like he’s been there”) and deliver them with kicks intact courtesy of Belgian producer Ruben Debusschere. - Juice Magazine

"Electro-pop diva comes knocking for fame"

Malaysian electro-pop diva Ze!, who describes herself as the middle ground between MIA and Lady Gaga, hopes her appearance at the festival will help her push into Australian, US and European markets. - West Australian

"Album Review: "I Am Glam" by Ze!"

“Disappointed by the new MIA album like me? Well I’ve got the best substitution for you. One of my long-time EQ discoveries - Ze! has finally released her long-awaited new album “I Am Glam” quietly and under the radar and I can confidently say that it’s one of electro-pop’s finest collection of tracks this year. ”Eclectic and refreshing” would be an understatement when describing the diverse electronic palette of this album. “I Am Glam” is a four-year triumph which has seen Ze! grow from an indie DIY darling into a poised and uber cool electro-glam ambassador. It sees her rubbing musical elbows with the likes of Peaches and Shirley Manson, increasing her cool factor by ten at least.

Key tracks “Boys I Like” and “Candy” are bangin to the extreme while tracks “Haircut” tell the cutest story about Ze! waking up and deciding she looks like crap and needs a little snip snip action – it’s whimsical and delightful when expressed via pop song. What I really like about this album above all else, is that it doesn’t borrow too many 80s and 90s influences which seem to be the norm when making electronic pop these days. It’s fresh and original and I applaud Ze! for sticking it out over the last four years and making such an enjoyable, honest album packed with glam, punk and post-modern funk.

Christina Aguilera should induct Ze! in her almighty pack of “My Girls”.” – Electroqueer - Electroqueer

"Hennessy Artistry @ Mist Club"

“This event was loads of fun, and the first to hit the stage was none other than Ze! who was featured on our JUICE cover in July. What can I say? She rocked the house and brought it down with her stellar electrifying performance! Dressed in an eclectic bodysuit and her signature shades, she performed with her sister and DJ MissOsixnine rocking the decks. The sibling duo had the crowd pumped up, and my favourite tune was ‘My Boyfriend is a Robot.’ This talent hailing from Subang Jaya has just returned from a European tour with Joachim Garraud, and her performance showed us all why she’s an international sensation with lyrics such as “I took your ego and fed it to my dog.”” – Emma Lee, Juice. - Juice Magazine

"“Electro Pop Princess Goes Glam” (July Cover Story)"

After much soul searching in the UK and Europe, Ze! is back with I Am Glam, and charging forth in electro pop with the same youthful and quirky exuberance that makes her one of a kind. With most of the production done by Belgian producer Ruben Debusschere, and containing collabos with Docolv (who is also known as French producer Alan de Laniere), Posh! The Prince (currently touring with Lady Gaga) and Ze!’s own sister Miss.osixnine, this spunky artist has only one mission in mind: to make people dance. JUICE sits down with our cover girl to talk music and fashion. - Juice Magazine
