"THE NEXT BIG THING"

Wow! What a performance! I've seen the greastest new band in the world! I'm talking about ZERO CHARISMA! They sure do know how to rock & they are definitely easy on the eyes! This showcase, at THE KNITTING FACTORY, was sold out. Despite the air-conditioning going out (it was 100+ degrees) Zero Charisma made it all fun! The songs made me want to tear my hair out with joy! - NEW YORK TIMES

Discography

Zero Charisma are currently mixing a short playing album with Dan Grigsby, who has recorded Keith Richards, Joe Cocker, and Paula Abdul, among many others. Latest mixes can always be heard here at SonicBids, and will be formally released this summer.

Bio

The yet to be named 'Zero Charisma®' made it's debut in the summer of 2005 to a sold out crowd at New York City's famous Knitting Factory. The band delivered a short set to the capacity crowd, who seemed indifferent to the broken airconditioning on that 100º August night. A few weeks later they recorded a track for IAR records first compilation disc. Later they recorded six original songs and a cover of The Cures's "The Forest"
Months earlier, when drummer Jonpaul Pantozzi approached Chris Dillon, asking him to sing for a new band, Dillon was skeptical. He had worked with Jonpaul and bass player Brian Smith for years in Das Phrogge, an acclaimed but obscure alternative outfit that had won many accolades. At the time he was burnt out and depressed, hiding out in Greenwood Lake, NY. A packed house at a top NYC venue was definately not in the cards.
Indy Peda was a friend of Brian and Jonpaul since they were teens. Dillon met him in '94 while playing the NYC club Streetlevel. Later on they would share many venues while Peda played bass for Nick Clemons. Now he had stepped up on guitar instead of Dillon and the new group had worked out a handfull of tunes. With no words or lyrics, they decided to give Dillon a chance to complete them.
The first time that Christopher showed up, he didn't expect to like what he heard. It had been months since any kind of music had moved him. If he ever believed he had any sparkle of creativity, it was gone now. But as they played these songs something inside him shifted. Immediately ideas and melodies sprang forth and they have been going with it ever since. Now these songs are brightening the lives of each new person who hears them.
The band resides in 1/3rd of a studio room in Jersey City. Zero Charisma® is currently signed with IAR records (www.iarrecords.com)
