Floating vocals and exquisite guitar unite to create the contemporary acoustic sound of Ziegler & Wells. The songwriting duo blends sounds from past and present in a never-ending meld between folk, pop, and jazz. Their songs are multi-faceted, emotionally rich, honest, and always fresh. The duo emits a timelessly truthful resonance that a wide variety of audiences will enjoy.
Guitarist Travis J. Ziegler hails from Madison, WI. He has been a musical and emotional leader in several bands through the years, including; Soundbyte Society, Unclaimed Freight, Code Adam and Traveler's Dawn, having also collaborated with successful Nashville recording artist Briana Lynn Hardyman. The songs of Ziegler & Wells are born from his clever musical hooks and catchy licks. Travis J. Ziegler currently holds the "Director of Education" position at Ward-Brodt Music and is a guitar teacher in Madison, WI.
Singer Shauna Wells, originally from Mason, MI, has performed in many musical groups including the pop dance band "verb". She headlined her own band and released a CD of original pop/folk tunes in 2002. She then delved into the world of jazz and sang with several leading Madison jazz players. She returns to her roots in songwriting with this exciting collaboration. Wells' songwriting is inspired by her years in Mauritania, West Africa, where she served as Peace Corps Volunteer as well as her years teaching special education in the the public schools. Wells currently teaches English as a Second Language in Middleton, WI.
New to the music scene as a duo, Ziegler & Wells are ready to expand their horizons to new audiences throughout the mid-west. A rare gem of a talent among acoustic performers, don't miss this great duo who is sure to please.
