The newest release is Music In the Key of Z

This record is a 10 track very organic,live-feel studio recording done in Alvin, Texas... produced by John Evans and engineered by Mikey Ferrara.

It features 8 original tracks and 2 tracks from other artists (with their permission, of course) and ranges in style and structure from very country to spaghetti western, heavy soulful rockin blues to foot stompin hand clappin to bongos, bass & acoustic.

It's a great variety in small doses that really gives the listener a feel for what they do at live shows, where they also play about 80% original and 20% covers (of course Ziggyfied with their own twist and style).

Ziggy Moonshine (Blake Thompson) started playing gospel music at age nine. He brings to life the experiences of a well-seasoned musician with the natural gift for entertaining. Ziggy is an outstanding musician who plays all genres of music. He's a tested veteran of the stage His songwriting paints a picture of very real life situations and taps into his own experiences. His lyrics remove the walls that hide the truth and give the listener a glimpse into his remarkable gratitude of life itself. Ziggy and his band deliver a powerful live show, staying true to the very live and organic sound that they create in the studio.

Larry McCoy started at age ten in north Alabama banging on coffee cans with coat hangers. By age14 he was playing drums in a piano band in veteran's halls. He moved to West Texas in 1981 and became a born again Texan. Larry attended Midland College on a music scholarship and then Texas Tech University. His background includes country, blues, jazz, rock, symphony orchestra, and musical theater.

Chris "Word!" Gill is a native Houstonian. He picked up the music bug at age twelve and began learning to play Led Zeppelin tunes on his father's old guitar. Chris is the bass man of the Bootleggers. "Word" is himself, a very versatile guitar player. He also plays mandolin and even picks a little banjo.
