ZILLANATION: An infectious creation of madmen.

Hailing from West Palm Beach, FL, this motley crew of live hip-hop artists collide.

Humbled by their youth, and solely fueled by their shared love for the “Golden Era” of hip-hop, the ZILLANATION Collective, formerly known as Zillaintry, is bringing back the luster modern day music lacks.

“Not Rap, but Hip-Hop.” says Robby Ratchett, 21, a member of the Zillaintry crew.

The guys of ZILLANATION are focused on that differentiation. They say that they embody a time of smooth regulation through rhymes, the original hip-hop style; as opposed to nonsensical punchlines that are used solely to complete couplets, which seems to be the only avenue for the mainstream hip-hop scene.

Eager to make the state of Florida a part of the brave new world that is the “New School” era of hip-hop, ZILLANATION are the pioneers.

The defunct trio- Zillantry, was founded by AKBAR and Robby Ratchett, as they hosted a monthly hip-hop cypher (show) at Propaganda in Lake Worth, FL. The goal of each show is to provide exposure for new talent, as well as get the attention of people striving to catch independent music and hip-hop without radio filters and over-used autotuned hooks.. Rising artists from all over the Sunshine State who share the vision for hip-hop as ZillaNation are welcome to attend and showcase their talents.

“Frankly, we as artists have tired of the polluted, monotonous mainstream scene. We are no longer going to stand by while fresh sounds wait in the queue being bypassed by variations of the same Top 40 songs every week. That’s where you come in!” says Ratchett.
