Bio

With a sound all their own, ZIPPERHEAD is paving the way for that old retro rock sound we all miss. The band has an old school hard rock feel and has many “In your face” guitar solo's, ala Jeff Beck / Billy Gibbons, the way rock once was. If you've been cranking Velvet Revolver, or any late 70's metal/rock CDs, then you need to check out Zipperhead. More than 20 years of friendship has proven strong and they have been through a lot. Since 1988, REMINGTON (guitar & vocals), KHEDROO (bass & vocals), and KENDALL (drums & guitar), have been the opening act for many different historic acts such as, Smashing Pumpkins, The Verve, Big Head Todd and The Monsters, Molly Hatchet, John Kay & Steppenwolf, Butthole Surfers, Killing Joke, Adrian Blew, Dave Mason, Quite Riot, Public Image Ltd., and Wishbone Ash.

Armed with aged youth, experience, great attitudes, and incredible musicianship, Zipperhead is defiantly considered one of Chicago’s top bands. Listed below are notable recent activities of the band and some highly appraised quotes from well known Publishers, Radio Personalities, and Musicians.

Notable activities:
Mancow's Morning Madhouse, interview/live @ Q101's Lava Lamp Love Lounge, headlined Harley-Davidson Fest, #1 in rock on the Chicago charts as of July 2005 posted at Garageband.com

Quotes:

"These guys are great...they make me want to bitch slap my grandmother"
Chris Payne, Q101

"Zipperhead? I quit eating solids after I heard 'em!"
Jason Batchko, Caviar

"Zipperhead are like Joan Rivers meets Motorhead: They just won't die."
Steve Gerlach, Cane Corso

Lemmy, Motorhead

"I grew up listening to bands like, ZZtop, Jeff Beck, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Motorhead, UFO, Van Halen. The music on Zipperhead’s new CD "Key Of Z" is the most hard driving, diversified, raw, energetic, new material I've heard in awhile."
T. Chase, Chase Entertainment

After touring and promoting their debut CD “Number Six”, Zipperhead is preparing the release of their next CD titled, “Key Of Z”. Five years in the making, this is sure to push them into the elite bands ever to come out of Chicago. With tracks like “Rock Star”, a tongue and cheek song poking fun at the whole rockstar scene, “I’m A Bum” highlighting the incredible life of a street bum, and a melodic ballad type “Nothing To Do With You”, showcasing their love for the more produced, acoustic driven songs, Zipperhead has a handle on making the predictable, unpredictable.
