Bio
Oguz Kaplangi, the producer of Portecho, Istanbul Calling, Techno Roman Project, Lava and Deja-Vu's albums, is also the head of Elec-Trip music production company. He continues to give concerts as producer/DJ with Istanbul Calling and Techno Roman Project both in Turkey and abroad; at Elec-Trip Jingles he produces commercial music for many brands and film scores. Oguz Kaplangi is an ex-member of the band "Rebel Moves" and he is one of the founders of Middle Eastern Technical University's reputable radio, Radyo ODTU.
Chi K., co-partner of Elec-Trip music production company, began singing at Bard College where she was a student of esteemed Arthur Burrows. She is the voice behind many of Elec-Trip's commercial jingles. Her songs appear in Elec-Trip albums as well as international compilation albums.
Orange is the stage name of Istanbul-based, New Zealand-born musician and video artist Reuben de Lautour. Orange, who also performs a solo dance/electronic project, joined Zi Punt in January 2008. Before locating to Turkey, he studied music at Princeton University and DJed in New York and New Jersey. In Istanbul he joined Istanbul Technical University's "Center for Advanced Research in Music (CARM)" Faculty, where he teaches music production and engineering, as well as sound and video art. Orange is an associate director of the CARM recording studios and also works as a freelance music producer.
