"Zoe Bentley - Four Stars"

"Zoe Bentley's debut album, Stride, is just the right mixture of soft and hard, despair and hope, and vulnerability and strength. While her voice sometimes soars up and pushes vocal barriers...it is also capable of having a serene, quiet, almost dreamy quality...With such an admirable spirit, as well as the voice and the music to back it up, Zoe Bentley deserves to be heard."

"Stride Review"

"...Zoë Bentley is not only stunningly beautiful on the outside but equally radiant and exquisite on the inside. God has blessed this young woman with an uncommon set of pipes... If Simon Cowell knew of Zoë she would be a superstar by now. Mariah Carey move over! ...

At the tender age of 22 this lady has achieved a level of quality and timelessness on Stride that many artists twice her age couldn’t muster no matter how hard they tried...Zoë’s vocals are amazing and
her lyrics are wise beyond her years.
I can’t find enough positive words to describe Zoë Bentley’s talent
because the Thesaurus is just too limited but you can decide for
yourself after you’ve heard her voice."

Since beginning her journey as an artist, Zoe Bentley has come to explore new avenues, branching out from her pop roots to incorporate rock, folk, R&B, gospel, and classical influences into her work. Each successive songwriting experience has found her experimenting with fresh sounds and themes, culminating in what amounts to an amazingly versatile debut album.

STRIDE showcases this 22 year old singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist’s wide spectrum of skills as an artist, from heart-tugging vocal purity to introspective prose writing. Recalling the vocal stylings of Joss Stone & the zest of Aerosmith, Zoe sings with the grace of Mariah Carey, the soul of Patsy Cline, and her writing reflects the echoes of a soul far beyond her years.

Zoe’s album has fittingly been named STRIDE as a reflection of her battle to survive by taking life one step at a time. Leaving her hometown of Belleville at the age of 15, Zoe lived on the streets in nearby Cambridge with nothing but an old knapsack and acoustic guitar. When a high-school guidance counsellor found her a place to stay and even bought her new guitar strings, this was Zoe's great awakening, and writing and performing music quickly became her passion. Already with an impressive history at radio, and having been hand-picked for spotlights at Sonicbids and IndieTunes and as the face of Gibson's new Goddess guitar, Zoe’s songwriting and vocal artistry is further proven by her evocative and introspective yet uplifting album.
