Zone 13 was first formed by vocalist Rob Strickland and guitarist Vance Rockwell in 1988 under the moniker Mere Mortals.
With the addition of Drummer Wayne Smith in 1997, they changed the name to Zone 13.
In 2000, bassist Matt Prieto joined the band and continued to perform shows up and down the Northeast region.
In 2003, Zone 13 recorded an independent CD, “It Is What It Is’, that enjoyed some local success.
After touring to support the CD, the band decided to take a break.
In 2009, the band decided to regroup. And with the addition of guitarist Andy Waldron, the sound has been completed.
With the addition of new Zone 13 songs, and upcoming performances, the band is ready to record and promote their next CD.
The fan base has stayed strong and their return has been greeted with open arms.
