Another highlight is the frothy vintage pop of Boyfriend.” - Chicagolands Music Monthly

Feeling a bit camera shy

A 13-year old runaway girl teaches herself to play guitar in a small suburban apartment in Chicago. Although she didn’t know it at the time, Roq Zonté discovered an ideal way to express repressed
emotions from a tumultuous childhood, and a perfect outlet for her wild, creative streak. Now based in Los Angeles, Roq is the founder and
driving force behind pop-rock power trio Zonte. Roq has steadily built her career on astonishing raw talent, passion and steely determination.

Roq has already successfully released a solo album. This bold and richly textured collection of guitar-fueled tracks portrayed a captivating style
that earned acclaim in many renowned publications. The album was supported with live shows and in-store performances in many locations including
New York, Las Vegas and various California cities. Along the way, Rocky easily won the heavily publicized Virginia Slims Dueling Divas competition, where votes were cast based on original songs and live performance. Also, Rocky was flown to New York as a finalist in a national competition for a
Spike Lee commercial.

Cooch on drums and Itchy on bass guitar provide the sturdy backbone for Zonte. This refreshing nirvana-like threesome is currently working on songs for a second album. The dynamic new music engages listeners with attention-grabbing style. Distinctive riff-driven, groove-oriented songs with
anthem-like progressions that stay in the mind. Once again, Roq Zonte is proving herself a phenomenal songwriter and guitar-playing prodigy,
not withstanding her exotic allure and photogenic sex appeal. A quintessential artist with innate pop sensibility who pours her heart and soul into her music.
