“Country Alternative with a Pop/Folk Twist. A sassy and Sultry Singer/Songwriter” – The Troubadour London
Zophia ’ Full name Zophia Scarlett Amey started playing the piano at the age of 18 and from then started to write her own songs. After moving from the pretty little town of Worcestershire to the big light of London, she met her band and started writing her 1st EP. In July 2010, she first toured in Nashville TN performing in venues such as The HardRock Café Nashville and Tootsies. In May 2011 Zophia had the opportunity to perform to 10,000 people at the Worcester Warrior Rugby Semi – Final match. It was also here that BBC Introducing interviewed and recorded some of her performance, which was later played on BBC Introducing (HW) featuring two of her songs ‘Possibility’ and ‘Jim Hendrix’. She has since been played on Liberty Radio London and performed live at Nozstock 2011 festival as a BBC Inducing Act. 2012 is already looking exciting with Zophia returning to Nashville and booked gigs including the O2 Acadeny Islington in April and a showcase for Explosive Management. This young singer-songwriter is bringing Americana with an English Twist.
Zophia will be recording her debut album in Nashville this summer.
