Based between Dublin, London and Belfast - Featuring the combined talents of Maria Walsh (vocals, bodhrán percussion, flute, programming) and Carole Nelson (saxophones, piano, tin whistle, programming), Zrazy have established themselves firmly at the forefront of contemporary Irish music.
Musically sophisticated and lyrically smart, Zrazy inhabit a unique place in contemporary music in Ireland.
The international award winning songwriting team of expressive singer Maria and pianist/saxophanist Carole have an extensive catalogue of sensuous and sophisticated songs, the fruit of a lengthy and critically acclaimed creative partnership that has yielded five albums.
Steeped in soul, folk, jazz, latin, R’n’B - it is adult contemporary and singer songwriter in the fullest sense of the meaning, They are now mature artists at the height of their creative power on stage. They bring humour, soulfulness and sheer class to the live performance.
Their first two CDs, Give it All Up and Come Out Everybody were pure pop/dance delights, integrating Celtic with funky loops and techno/house grooves. The next two CD's won the USA GLAMA award and OutMusic Awards for Best Song and Best Album in '00 and 2005.

Continuing in the jazzy vein of their last few albums, Irish duo Zrazy (Maria Walsh and Carole Nelson), who accompany themselves on flute, sax, and other instruments, have returned with the verdant Dream On (Alfi). Also backed by a quintet, Zrazy’s songs have a dreamy and seductive quality, embodied in songs such as “I Know When You Are Near,” “Rain,” and “Keep It Real,” and the nine minute “Drive” contains a sexy jam.
