I have loved music since I was a little girl. I am influenced by so many artists I couldn’t name them all but a few are Robert Johnson, Howlin Wolf, The Beatles, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Buddy Guy, John Mayer, The Band, The Funk Brothers, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Bob Dylan, The Police, Joni Mitchell and Bruce Springsteen.
When asked what genre of music I am influenced by, I can say I like good songs no matter what style, if they capture me that’s it. I was born on the east coast and moved to Oregon when I was eleven. At fourteen I became the lead singer for a local blues band. At sixteen I started to write my own songs. I can’t say what sets me apart from other bands or artists. I admire artists who are sincere and passionate about their music, and that’s what I am.
