Bio
Brazilian bassist since 1985 from Santos city began his carreer playing with a rock band called Warkings.
After a year he played in a blues band named Druídas , where he has remained for a year playing at many important concerts but without doing any recording.
Between 1987 and 1994 he became entirely dedicated to developing new ways of expressing on his instrument , recording jingles , playing along with some remarkable brazilian singers and specificaly between 1989 and 1994 he played in the Mr. Green instrumental band which had its first recording released in 1990.
From 1994 on , Zuzo Moussawer has been playing with his solo band , giving workshops and recording video - classes. He recorded 3 video classes titled Slap & two - hands rock , Groove essentials and Solo essentials , all available in portuguese language from the Aprenda musica video and he has intentions to release it in english as well.
Between 1996 and 1997 his first solo CD called Express was released with some brazilian guitarrists such as Kiko Loureiro from Angra, Eduardo Ardanuy from Dr. Sin, Frank Solari and other musicians.
Between 2000 and 2001 he released his second solo album called Raizes X Influências ( Roots X Influences ) , an acoustic world music album with several brazilian musician such as percussionist Robertinho Silva.
In 2005 Zuzo released his third solo album called Prato da Casa ( Dishes from Home ) , a Cd only with bass and drums (pablo Silva- actual Airto Moreira drumer) with Jazz and brazilian standards and original compositions with Zuzo's Lirics and voices
About Zuzo's influences he likes from classical to jazz , brazilian music and even rock , bands and names like Stavisnky , Bela Bartok , Charlie Parker , Pixinguinha(Brazilian composer) , Steve Morse and bassists like Jaco Pastorius , James Jamerson , Luizão Maia (brazil) and others.
Last October/2006 Zuzo was second place in the INTERNATIONAL SOLO BASS COMPETITION , an important USA festival with contestants of 19 countries judged by Victor Wooten ,Steve Bailey , John Patitutti , Anthony Jackson , Will Lee , Greg Bisonette and Jonathan Herrera
Zuzo's looking for touring around the world his bass ,
