Bio

Based in Cleveland,OH, the Russian folk ensemble “Zvon” presents a large variety of music styles. It ranges from classical masterpieces by Bach, Mozart and Rossini to romances, tangos, gypsy tunes and brilliant toe-taping Russian folk songs that are played with the great energy, dazzling virtuosity, superb artistry and humor. Each member of this group has a unique talent, the highest professional education and international recognition. Classically trained the founding members of the band the three-time world accordion champion Alexander Sevastian has also been playing in the widely acclaimed “Quartetto Gelato” and the balalaika-virtuoso Oleg Kruglyakov has successfully toured with the renowned Russian trio “Moscow Nights” for 10 years. The lilting ringing voice and unique authentic performing manner of Anna Budennaya has won many folk-song competitions and also allowed her to develop a career of the choir soloist back in Moscow, Russia. The shows of “Russian Bells” feature well-known Russian tunes as well as classical music favorites and popular songs from all over the world such as “The Flight of the Bumble-Bee”, “Kalinka”, “Korobochka (Russian Peddlers), “Tico Tico”, “Czardas” etc. The concerts have an atmosphere of impromptu, vigor, vitality and fun that is highly appreciated by the audience of all ages.
Anna Budennaya, Oleg Kruglyakov and Alexander Sevastian have 8 years of touring experience in the US and Canada and play the music that will tickle your ears!
