"Zygo & The Deuce perform in Brownville"

Look out country music fans...there's a new band on the scene, and they're shaking things up! hot new country duo Zygo & The Deuce, really rocked the house Saturday night at TJ's Bar in Brownville, showing their artistic range with ballads and uptempo's alike.

22-year-old Kay Rydberg travelled six hours from North Platte, NE just to see Zygo & The Deuce. "This is only the second time I've had a chance to see these guys live. I would have travelled a lot further if it meant getting to hear them play again. They're awesome!"

J. Michael Zygo and Harold Barnard II (aka The Deuce) started writing music together three years ago. Today they have more than forty songs under their belts, and they have released their first album, "From the Road".

"We've really gotten some great reception since the cd came out," Zygo said. "Its one thing to know you have this ability to write and share music. Its a completely different feeling when you're standing in front of a crowd and they're singing along to every song you've written".

"A local radio station, KNCY in Nebraska City has been one of our strongest supporters. They even came out to do a live broadcast when we performed at The Art of Music store in Nebraska City last wednesday night," Harold contributed with a grin. "One of the most amazing moments of my life was hearing our song, 'Three Wise Men' playing over the airways. It was literally a dream come true."

Based in New York and traveling across the country, this pair brings and edge to their style that is making country music sound new again. Thier future plans include a national tour this summer promoting their new cd, "From the Road," and they are currently at work on material for their next CD.

From the Road was released in 2006. We're working on our sophomore album right now with hopes to have it out in mid 2008. We're on rotation at a top 40 country station in Nebraska City, NE, one outside Cincinatti, OH, and one in southern OK. We're working on getting on Sirius internet radio as well.

Bio

Zygo and I (Harold) met on the Oklahoma National Tour a few years ago and have been playing and writing ever since. We've got over 60 original songs from slow, sorrowful ballads to uptempo, fun, clap-along songs about love and life. Many of the songs are a roadmap to the things we've been through together or separately over the past couple years.
I (Harold) come from the old school of country. Cash, Kristoferson, Jennings, LeDoux and The redheaded stranger were all influences growing up as well as a healthy dose of classic rock and blues.
Zygo comes from the new school. One of Zygo's biggest influences is Keith Urban.
We keep each other in check and challenge one another as writers and performers. When we're onstage the chemistry between us and the crowd is undeniable.
