Bio
Merging pop, rock, and country elements into a contemporary sound, Calm & Chaos is comprised of Anne Marie Bannister and Demian Bannister. Although predominantly gigging as an acoustic duo, they often add a rhythm section for larger venues.
Members of Calm & Chaos have logged many miles of touring the states, and have received airplay on popular San Francisco Bay Area radio stations Live 105 and Alice Radio in former and current bands The Dangs, The Caroline Movement, and Five Alarm.
Although self described Adult Alternative Rock, their sometimes depressing lyrics, big guitar riffs, and catchy choruses have some reviewers accusing them of being "new country without the twang".
Calm & Chaos' debut 12 song CD "Bad Decisions Make For Great Stories" was mastered by Marc DeSisto, reknowned for his work with U2, Pink Floyd, Sheryl Crow, Vertical Horizon, and many others. In 2017 they released "2016 - Gone, Not Forgotten, a mostly acoustic EP of cover songs written by some of the artists who were lost in 2016, including Prince, George Michael, Leon Russel, and Glenn Frey.
