Hailing from the Lower Hudson Valley, Anthony J. “Curly” Mauro has made rounds throughout the east coast and Midwest via DIY-style touring and become noted for his signature brand of acoustic-driven synth laced pop-punk, and an energetic stage presence of the same level as a full band. Songs like “Stickers on Cars” and “UP UR NOSE” bring a high-energy sound that will make listeners want to jump, while songs like “Fountain of Youth (Bonfire Song)” and his most recent single “Hometown Hero/National Underdog” bring out a more vulnerable, emotional side of the singer-songwriter. One key element that separates Curly from his peers in the new era of neo pop-punk solo acts is that he plays all the instruments on his recordings.
