Bio

Threw everything she owned in her car, and alone moved to New York City in 2001 to find her dreams of bright lights…and ending up finding herself. Having a few friends in the music industry, was constantly in the company of professional engineers working in studios, hearing outtakes from famous singers she can’t mention and being the technically trained singer in the room ended up singing background vocals and ghost voice work for friends music..making the vocals “pop” and sound better. Quick to tire of singing other peoples words, she started writing her own lyrics and songs under the name Dani Danger in 2004. Surviving NYC for five years modeling, dog-walking, bartending and assisting photographer Robert Caldarone needed a change, moved back to Providence and got busy writing, playing, & performing also producing her own showcases and collaborating with Providence’s own “Danger Danger Birds” and calling on the wicked talent in providence to provide the musical stimulus alongside this firecracker - this girl was hungry to create.

In 2005 I felt confident enough to start writing music and did so under the moniker “Dani Danger”. I was writing music, playing to live audiences and very happy performing once again. I also began working as a sound engineer with UFO Sound Labs in Providence. In early 2009 I headed west to Los Angeles to explore the left coast and found immediate success in a nomination for “Singer/ Songwriter of the Year” by Motif Magazine. This helped me gain momentum with my work, and I hosted a weekly open mic in Silverlake while assisting Bandit Art Gallery Director / Owner Mike Chamili.

The foundation of my art is music, songwriting, performing and recording. My inspiration stems from personal experiences and my surroundings. I use music as a tool to work through challenges and experiences in my own life. This leads me to want to learn more about the process of music, how it affects us as human beings, and how the brain responds to music. I am currently enrolled with the Berklee College of Music for certification in Music Theory and Ear-Training with the intention of moving on to earn a degree in Music Therapy.
