I Shakeila Baker was born on May 30 1993 in Long Beach, CA I was the youngest of 3 talented children of (Wayne Baker Brooks), Musician, Singer, Songwriter, author who is also the son of the Chicago Blues Legend musician (Lonnie Brooks). My childhood was profoundly marked by my mother's level of poverty & parents seperation, which occured when i was very young, living from house to house and state to state which had major effects on my life, education and family. At 9 years old i was able to define my true worth and talent, due to listening to gospel and singing in church, raised around both parents who sing paid off when i moved back to Long Beach, CA when i recorded my first track with my big brother Josef Taylor inspired my love for writing and singing later on moved to Lafayette In where i started to be more involved into music from studio time, features, showcases and performances and auditions which turned my love for music into a career, so here i am today (Keila Grandz) on a path of greatness achieving my goals, 1 song at a time!
