"ARTIST IDK WHO I FOUND IS DOPE - DøøF"

I found a rapper Døød IDK who is dope.

While perusing Soundcloud I came across a song entitled “‘scuse me døød” by DøøF which looped in my room for a good (or should I say gøød) twenty minutes. This 19 year old from Virginia works with a group named Bayce Cannibals and has apparently released six albums/ep’s over the last few years. On his website (http://doofmusic.com) it says he’s only making music since it was 17 and I must say, regardless of the lack of time, I am thoroughly impressed. I will be listening to more of his music (heading over to his bandcamp page which holds his entire discography) and hopefully learning more about the man with the two o’s slashed. Hey, maybe we’ll make an album together someday under the moniker døøøf.. lol - Dinner Land

"Koncept Jack$on & DøøF - Blunts at the Crossroads (Prod Cameron Butler)"

Mutant Academy member Koncept Jack$on links up with DøøF the lisp god and Cameron Butler of BAYCEcannibals to bring us "Blunts at the Crossroads." Butler proves his proficiency on the beat pad, laying down a smooth, spacey loop centered around a longing guitar riff. Jack$on and DøøF deliver murky, hypnotic verses to round out the sound. - Ok-Tho

"DøøF & gabonano – ¿ wheres the roach ?"

DøøF of the Bayce Cannibals links up with San Diego’s own gabonano for a new project titled ¿ wheres the roach ?. (see link for full post) - As We Proceed

"MEET DOOF, THE SLICK 18-YEAR-OLD RAPPER WITH A LISP"

Admittedly, that headline is bait; in most circumstances I’d feel uncomfortable running it. In the case of DooF, I’ll take the risk of the post being written off as typical web provocation. A few reasons:

On his Soundcloud, DooF refers to himself as “lisp mouff.”
It is impossible not to notice the fact that DooF has a speech impediment if you listen to him rap for more than 10 seconds.
In spite of what you might, it doesn’t inhibit the young rapper. His flow is still sharper than most of his peers.
That last fact (and a brief e-mail debate with the better angels of my nature on the P&P team) ultimately played tipping point for whether or not I should post. With the languid fluidity of an Earl or Rejjie Snow and the clear influence of MF Doom (something shared by all three), DooF’s nonchalant verbal gymnastics–accompanied often by fittingly lo-fi jazz beats–are worth the price of admission; that he’s able to rap with impressive proficiency while dealing with a speech impediment (which occasionally makes him a bit difficult to understand, but never in a way that detracts from enjoyment or creates incomprehensibility–his recording set up is more of a problem than his lisp) is not only intriguing, it’s downright brave.

If you’re interested in diving deeper into DooF’s blunted rap-fest, the Virgina rapper has plenty of tracks and mixtapes for you to check out. - Pigeons & Plains

"DøøF – Loafs"

New New. DøøF is a throwback to a tiny window in the mid-aughts where MF DOOM, Count Bass D, & the slept on duo Uncut Raw used lo-fi production values to create angelic sounds with bizarre and interesting deliveries. Of course, Count Bass D is still doing his thing, but for whatever reason, people stopped paying mind to these wonderful sounds.
Loafs perfectly encapsulates the sound we’re talking about. We look for this type of sound often, and there are definitely a few operating in the sector, however, DøøF’s eccentric tooth-laden delivery certainly pushes him to the front of the line among them. This cut will be featured on the upcoming Spayce EP, which drops September 19th.
We’re also going to share the project he put out earlier this year with eu-IV, which we originally posted in June, which was of course effected by the hack. Enjoy. - BRAIN BANDITS

"DøøF"

After following Doof for a couple months, we are glad to say that this rapper provides listeners with a very fresh and youthful take on hip-hop/lo-fi. With his interesting flow, funny/corny wordplay, and signature lisp, Doof has slowly but surely been taking the underground hip-hop scene by storm along with his collective BAYCEcannibals. To top it all off, Doof has also worked with an all-star cast of rappers and producers in his genere, including: Griim Doza, Na$ty, JAX, and many more. Can't wait to see where this young emcee goes next! - The Teenage Conflict
