"MID DAY BURN - SPECIAL - EVIL THA KID"

Its a radio interview, no text provided - #1bluntradio

"Why Evil Tha Kid Won't Be Submitting This Verse To Tech N9ne's Warrior Built Contest"

When it comes to PTSD it's an issue that Hip Hop artist Evil Tha Kid knows oh to well about. Which is why it came as a surprise to hear that Evil would not be submitting his take into the contest. We caught up with Evil at the office and had a few questions, here was his response:
"I just feel as if I am blessed to have the opportunity to finally speak out on the subject. I don't want the world to see my verse as competition, but to hear my story and understand that there are real lives being effected by such a deadly disease. I also want to use this track to help bring awareness to the world that there is a treatment, shit, I'd go as far to say it's a cure! We need to fight not only the battle of PTSD but the movement of the legalization of medical marijuana. I have worked in a few dispensaries throughout Denver, CO and have spoken with quite a few patients suffering from PTSD. The patients stories would vary from war tragedies to rape to accidental homicide and many more. I honestly feel like I've heard it all. Yet every patient had one thing in common, the use of medical marijuana helped them cope with the stress of PTSD , or in some cases, eliminated it altogether. I'm just excited to present my verse to the world, and proud to not submit it as competition. I hope I'm able to send a message and help raise awareness on the issue and look forward to hearing what others have to say." We hope you enjoy it.  - Adam Abreu

Bio

Everyone has a story to tell, but it's the way we choose to go about it that makes us different from those around us. One may write, others may draw, some stay silent but those like Evil The Kid have to let it out through rhymes. That's why this Florida-based rapper took to hip hop early on in life, looking up to the honesty of Tupac and the tell-it-like-it-is ways of Eminem. Evil The Kid created his own sound that was all about the creative wordplay but with a ruthless twist.

While music has been his passion his whole life, Evil has just got started in terms of dropping joints. In 2016 he released two EPs and a mixtape to the masses and they were impressive enough to garner him the attention of both #1bluntradio as well as LBDthablog.com. Soon after he was opening for acts such as Wiz Khalifa & Lil Wayne at the 420 Rally, Lil Flip at the 420 Fest and even Co-Headlined at the 420 Superfest a 5 day 420 networking event. He's making his rounds and paying his dues to one day be the headliner on the marquee.

Opening up for Wiz and Lil Wayne was a career highlight. One can't beat 80k people moving along to their music, but it's that music that he creates that led him there. Songs like "Acid Thoughts" which is a freestyle of thoughts, from a very long acid trip Evil once experienced. Also keeping with the theme, sex and drugs are all over "On & On" and while some would think this was one meant to stay underground, this is actually Evil's most mainstream cut of them all. Of course he can do something completely different, as he proves with "You Lost Me," a track looking back at a relationship gone wrong with his ex-wife. No matter what he's rhyming about, one thing's for sure, his flow and maniacal wordplay gives way to a careless attitude that makes him stand away from the pack.

In the coming months singles will be released and buzz will be stirring as Evil The Kid prepares to drop his debut LP, Live Evil, on March 13, 2017.
