Ev Jones

Meet a refreshing change to R&B music, Ev Jones. Sure he could stir the souls of people around the world, but this musical stunner has been crefully honing his craft for the past 15 years. Born in Dayton, Ohio, Ev first embraced his musical talents while attneding Colonel White High School for the Performing Arts. Since then he has methodically positioned himself to be the next big thing. With a style he refers to as "hip-soul", Ev Jones managed to blend, through his writing, the story telling ability of Slick Rick with the vocal prowess of great R&B legends such as Same Cook. Ev credits his vocal influences to artists such as, Dave Hollister, Gerald Levert, Anthony Hamilton and a host of other soulful greats. Yet, even with those comparisons having been made, Ev has managed to still have a sound all his own.

Ev Jones' writing ability is one of the things that has seperated him from many other artists. Having peend a Sammy Award winning album (Best R&B Album 2007 Electric Relaxation: The Definition of Hip-Soul Vol I), there is no doubt that this musical phenom has nurtued his talents well. Lenndign his vocal and writing versatilty to such artists as Seth Marcel and perfroming with the likes of Tupac Shakur, Method Man, Fat Joe, Harlod Melvin and the Blue Notes, as well as, countless others he is now focused and ready to let the world experience his abilities.

In a time where substance seems to be a fading commodity Ev Jones is destined, designed, and determined to shake up the infrastructure with his first solo contribution tenatively entitiled "Welcome Back". Ev promises that this album will be "something to remind you of what you've been missing, and make you question why you ever left to begin with". Slated for a summer 2011 release, Welcome Back will be preluded by a mixtape series that will be availabe for free download.
