Festival Expressions is an Original Rock and Soul band from Birmingham, Alabama. Formed in the Summer of 2011, the group has developed a strong Southeastern following through memorable live performances and unique songwriting. Their debut album (self-titled Festival Expressions) was released on Dec. 12, 2012 and met with critical acclaim. - "Integrating a hybrid of Rock, Jazz, Blues, Funk, and even Organic Electronica and Reggae... Festival Expressions has shared the stage with artists including Tim Reynolds, JJ Grey & Mofro, The Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Ivan Nevilles Dumpstaphunk, The Emmit-Nershi Band, Tim Carbone of Railroad Earth, and Col. Bruce Hampton just to name a few. The group headlined The Birmingham Arts and Music Festival 2012, The Sloperfest Climbing and Music Festival 2013, and has even been honored to record one track with Abbey Road Studios Ken Scott at Audiostate 55 in Birmingham.
The band's much anticipated second album, titled Conversations, is expected to be released in the Spring of 2014. The musicians in the group are Alabama natives Ransom Pewitt (guitar/vocals/harmonica), Josh Wiseman (drums/vocals), Marcus O'Neill (bass), Kevin McClure (keyboards/synth), and Mike Sinopole (guitar/vocals).
