100th Monkey Records Compassionism CD Compilation

100th Monkey Records is a Seattle based independent record label. They are pleased to announce the creation of their Compassionism CD to be released October 2009, a compilation of original music aimed at raising awareness for the animal organization People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (P.E.T.A.). Their goal is to create an inspirational album that embodies the title 'Compassionism', raising awareness and money for this wonderful organization who work tirelessly for the plight of animals world wide.


This will be an annual project.



The CD will be distributed in the United States and available worldwide. 'Compassionism' will have a mixture of well known artists and some not so well known artists, enabling new artists to be exposed to a broader audience. 100th Monkey Records is happy to offer 2 songs on the 'Compassionism' CD to Sonicbids artists. In addition, selected artists will receive 10 copies of the CD for their own use.



Submissions are open to a variety of genres including: folk, alternative, spoken word, acoustic, singer/songwriter. No heavy metal or rock please.



All submissions will receive a review even if not selected for the compilation and there are 2 slots on the disc reserved for Sonicbids artists!
