This is your LAST CHANCE to submit to the Decatur Celebration, which will mark its 25th year as the largest family street festival South of Chicago, Illinois. This eclectic event features headliners, national attractions, 10 show stages and draws more than 300,000 people to Decatur, IL. Selected artists will be compensated for their performances as well as travel/lodging expenses./n/nDecatur Celebration marks its 25th year as the largest family street festival South of Chicago, Illinois, on August 6-8, 2010. This eclectic event features headliners, national attractions, 10 show stages and more centered in 20 city blocks of downtown Decatur, IL.


Selected artists will be compensated for their performances as well as travel/lodging expenses. The event also features 79 one-of-a-kind food items, 80 arts and crafts vendors, 40 commercial vendors, and dozens of street events with over 300,000 people in attendance annually.


The Decatur Celebration is kaleidoscope of family fun:


  • Entertainment for all - ethnic to jazz, pop to cajun, blues to oldies, classical to country

  • Four Festivals in one: music, arts and crafts, carnival, and food

  • The largest kids play area in Illinois, Kids Block

  • Super Carnival with 20 spectacular rides
