2011 NZ Classical Crossover Vineyards Tour

Oikos Music is currently setting up a national New Zealand Classical Crossover Tour through New Zealand Vineyards. If we select a singer from those submitted, the singer will appear on stage with one of the most successful kiwi singers of all time, Yulia, in cabaret/dinner style shows around New Zealand's premier venues. Dates are tentatively set to run from February 17th 2011 through the 17th of March. If we select a singer from those submitted, the singer will appear on stage with one of the most successful kiwi singers of all time, Yulia, in cabaret/dinner style and concert style shows around New Zealand's premier Vineyard venues. Dates are tentatively set to run from February 17th 2011 through the 17th of March.

The venues are still in negotiation and the minimum performance will be at two Vineyard venues. Oikos is aiming for six vineyards but may take on more depending on the availability of the artists and negotiations with venues. At least 1 slot has been reserved for Sonicbids artists.

The successful applicant will receive promotional support to develop a brand presence in NZ as a result of working with the tour. This could include Oikos Music signing the artist to a booking agents, (see www.oikos.co.nz) record label (see www.classicalcrossover.co.nz) and (or) management agreement (see www.oikos.co.nz) and representing the artist in country for physical and digital distribution, PR and future concert bookings and promotions. The selected artist will also be able to sell CDs and merchandising, retaining 100% of the proceeds.

The Classical Crossover format is a pop + classical music fusion of genres which is orientated to a 45+ adult contemporary audience. Genres accepted include: Musical Theatre, Broadway, Opera, Classical, Folk, Pop, Jazz, Standards, New Age, and Celtic.

Sponsors are currently in negotiation. The tour is backed by Oikos Music and the venues and will proceed with or without sponsors. All in-country expenses will be covered by Oikos Music including travel, accommodation and all meals. Australian and New Zealand applicants will not need visas or work permits. Australian applicants should have a valid current passport. Applicants from outside of Australasia will receive support with processing work permits but will be required to cover the associated costs for entry visas. The successful applicant is responsible for covering the cost of their own travel to New Zealand.

Yulia has three radio hits, two number one hit albums, six times platinum sales and two NZ music awards for highest selling album and best female solo vocal album. Yulia is currently nominated as 'Best Nationwide Entertainer' in the 2010 Corporate Events Guide People's Choice Award and is a household name in NZ.

Oikos Music is an existing Sonicbids promoter which recently ran the 2010 NZ Online Songwriting Competition. They also manage www.classicalcrossover.co.nz and have an existing relationship providing Classical Crossover entertainment to New Zealand venues.
