2016 Blast on the Bay Emerging Talent Showcase in Port St. Joe, FL

Blast on the Bay is seeking ten Sonicbids artists to perform at the Emerging Talent Showcase at it's 8th Annual Songwriters' Festival Oct. 20, 2016. 

Celebrating its 8th anniversary in 2016, Florida's Gulf Coast will play host to a group of talented musicians and songwriters direct from the streets of Nashville at the Blast on the Bay Festival. Festival performances will consist of 30+ musicians who collectively have written hundreds of hit songs from Faith Hill and George Strait to Jason Aldean and Garth Brooks. This boutique and cozy festival features nearly a dozen venues over the long weekend, from the VIP sponsor/artist welcome reception on the beach Thursday night to the grand finale on Sunday afternoon at the world-famous Indian Pass Raw Bar. Proceeds from the event benefit the Coastal Songwriters Education Coalition Inc. 

The Emerging Talent Showcase kicks off the festival, with ten up and coming artists performing one song each in front of a panel of acclaimed judges.

• Country music is most prevalent at the festival, but all genres are welcome to apply
• Must perform one original song accompanied on either piano or guitar; no backing tracks will be permitted
• Acts from any region are welcome to apply

Details:

• Mics, PA, and monitors will be supplied
  

• The winner will be given the opportunity to have their song professionally recorded, mixed, and mastered in a local studio
  
• Cash prizes ($1500, $1000, and $500) will be awarded to the top three artists 
• Selected artists can attend any of the festival's events or songwriting workshops free of charge
• Artists may sell merch onsite and keep the proceeds
• There will be light food and non-alcoholic drinks in the greenroom for performers
  
• The winner and their song will be posted on the festival's social media outlets with an invitation to play with hit writers on the last day of the festival
• All selected artists will have accommodations for one night
