2016 Westport Roots Festival

Westport Roots is seeking 25 Sonicbids artists. Selected acts will be compensated up to $5,000.

The 3rd Annual Westport Roots Festival (WRF) will play host to over 3,000 attendees and more than 35 bands. The mission of the festival is to nurture the culture and subcultures found within Americana and Hillbilly music. WRF desires to cultivate the organic neo-traditional music being created while preserving musical traditions.

This year's event is taking place at the Westport Saloon on Pennsylvania Street in the heart of downtown Westport, Missouri. This intimate venue is located in "The Original Kansas City," features the best in American roots music and has over 100 whiskeys to choose from. Other venues include The Riot Room, The Firefly Lounge and Buzzard Beach.
