Summary
On-Island Entertainment is booking up to 10 Sonicbids artists for the 2017 Block Island Music Festival. Selected acts receive $50-$100 festival credit that can be used for food/drink with all festival partners.
The Opportunity
The Block Island Music Festival (BIMF) takes place the second week of June each summer at Captain Nick's Rock n Roll Bar, Block Island's premiere nightclub and live music venue. Each year, the BIMF strives to push the envelope by erasing style barriers in order to create a truly unique and exciting musical atmosphere. The result of the BIMF selection committee's efforts is a six-day long musical gumbo where festival goers sample music performed by the Northeast's best emerging artists. 48 acts play over the 6 days to 2000 attendees. Since 2008, they have selected over 80 artists from Sonicbids.

- Sunshine Stage ideally for solo/acoustic acts
The Gig
Details:
- 45 minute sets
- 4 acts play Sunshine Stage outdoors 5PM - 9 PM
- 4 acts play Main Stage indoors from 9PM - 1 AM
- Backline includes drum kit, bass amp and speaker
- Professional sound and lighting provided
- Sound engineer on hand
- Overnight accommodations
- Ferry tickets from Point Judith, RI to Block Island for band members
- $50-$100 festival credit per band (accepted by all festival partners)
- Artists retain 100% of merchandise sales
