219 Records is a growing independent label based in New Orleans with a recording studio in North Mississippi (Delta Recording Service) and distribution with Redeye, USA. 219 is currently looking to bolster their roster and, in line with that effort, they are seeking the best new talent in blues, country, folk, Americana, and other like genres. This is a great opportunity for indie artists who need help getting their music recorded, distributed, and serviced to radio and press, or who would like to band together with other indie artists to work toward similar goals.



219’s recording studio, operated by Jimbo Mathus, has recorded such greats as WC Handy winner Duwayne Burnside, the North Mississippi All Stars, and Elvis Costello. Current artists on 219 records include Jimbo Mathus (Squirrel Nut Zippers, Buddy Guy), Tate Moore (Kudzu Kings), the legendary Jessie Mae Hemphill, Olga, and Lynn Drury among others.
