The Opportunity
The tenth annual 30A Songwriters Festival has been announced for the weekend of January 17-20, 2020 (MLK three day holiday weekend). Music will be produced in over 25 venues ranging in capacity from 75 - 750, plus a mainstage capacity of 5,000 - all located along a 20 mile stretch of scenic highway 30-A on the Gulf coast. 5,000+ attendees are expected across over 235 performances on stages at famous beach-side resorts.
Past Performers Include: Jackson Browne, Emmylou Harris, Graham Nash, Leon Russell, Indigo Girls, John Prine, Patty Griffin, Jason Isbell, Ann Wilson of Heart, Grace Potter, The Bangles, Cheap Trick, Steve Earle, The Zombies, Matthew Sweet, Dr. John, Lucinda Williams, Lee Ann Womack, Charles Kelley (of Lady Antebellum), Richard Thompson, Mary Chapin Carpenter, JD Souther, Loudon Wainwright III, Shawn Mullins, Shawn Colvin, Robert Randolph, Ani DiFranco and many more!
The Band
- Accepted genres include Americana, Blues, Country, Folk, Pop, Rock, etc.
- Acoustic acts are preferred, but plugged-in performances can also be accommodated
The Gig
Details:
- Sets are 60 min each
- Artists play 2-3 sets during the course of the weekend
- Sound equipment (mics, PAs, monitors) will be supplied
- Basic backline will be provided
- Lodging will be provided for the weekend of the festival
- Meals provided on the night(s) of performance
- Artists will be featured in press done by the festival
- Artists can sell merch on-site
