Summary

We Are Listening, true to their name, is offering $5,000 in cash prizes to emerging songwriters. There are five categories for artists to submit to: Singer/Songwriter, Country/Folk, Pop, Rock or Lyrics-Only. Every songriter or lyricist that submits will receive a songwriter contest score card within 30 days of the contest deadline.



The competition's judges include: Tobin Watkinson - A&R Consultant (Atlantic, Interscope, MySpace Records), Jay Frank - SVP of Music Strategy, CMT, and many more.



Five winning songwriters will receive $1000 each for the best song or lyric in their category, as selected by the aforementioned, esteemed judges./n/nWe Are Listening, true to their name, is offering $5,000 in cash prizes to emerging songwriters. Five finalists from each of the five categories will be selected by We Are Listening staff and presented to five judges for their picks. A free contest score card will be prepared and sent via email to all participants.

  • Steve Williams - Producer (Sting, Eric Clapton, Britney Spears)

  • Charlie Mole - Songwriter (Lenny Kravitz, Chaka Khan, Kylie Minogue)

  • Daryl Berg - Director of Music Supervision & Licensing, FUEL TV



Five winning songwriters will receive $1000 each for the best song or lyric in their category, as selected by the aforementioned, esteemed judges.



Artists may submit multiple times to multiple categories. Lyrics must be in english. The song/lyric may be the product of multiple writers. Sound quality will not be a factor in the judging process. No instrumentals allowed.
