Summary

Be a part of music history and submit to 52x52 - A Year in Your Ear Recording Competition! London Tone Music Group is starting a momentous campaign to record and release 52 singles of emerging artists over 52 weeks. They are looking to select 32 Sonicbids artists to take part in the project and have their music recorded at the award winning London Bridge Studio (Seattle) or Crown City Studio (Pasadena).


How it Works:


  • Submit a song for consideration to the competition.

  • All song demos submitted by Entrants must include credits for all writers and lyric sheets.

  • All rights including those necessary to commercially release the recorded composition must be available to Company.

  • Entrants must not be signed to recording or other agreements that limit their full participation in this contest.

  • Song entries are screened by London Tone Music Group management and employees. Entries that pass screening will be sent on for review to a judging committee, consisting of music industry artists and professionals, who will participate in selecting the Entrants that will be asked to record.

  • Entrant retains all song writing ownership rights for selected song and will split ownership of the music publishing 50-50 with London Tone Music Publishing. The recording master will be the property of Company.

  • The recording will be scheduled at companys discretion to be a weekly release of the London Tone Music Groups, 52/52 Year in Your Ear competition, one of 52 singles released weekly during a one-year period.

52/52 Competition Rules

Prize description: Be selected to have your original song professionally produced, recorded and mixed with producers Jonathan Plum, Geoff Ott or Eric Lilavois. Then have it released and promoted worldwide by the professional team at London Tone Music. If selected, musical artists will receive a singles-recording contract with London Tone Music Group, recording time to be determined by Company, at the award winning London Bridge Studio (Seattle) and Crown City Studio (Pasadena). A companion video including interviews and song highlights of the recording will also be included. The recording will be scheduled at companys discretion to be a weekly release of the London Tone Music Groups, 52/52 Year in Your Ear competition, one of 52 singles released weekly during a one-year period.

Retail value: $4,900

Number of prizes: There will be 52 musical artists or bands (Entrants) that will be selected to participate during a one year period.

Entries date: Entries will be accepted after April 2, 2013 until July 1, 2014

Eligibility: All genres of music are accepted. All song demos submitted by Entrants must include credits for all writers and lyric sheets. All rights including those necessary to commercially release the recorded composition must be available to Company. Entrants must not be signed to recording or other agreements that limit their full participation in this contest. This contest is open to anyone regardless of nationality or origin. Employees of London Tone Music, London Bridge Studio and Crown City Studios, its families and subsidiaries are not eligible. If entrant is under 18 years old, the signature of a parent or guardian is required.

Requirements for entry: All entries submitted must be original songs, not commercially exploited, written or co-written by the Entrant(s) and shall not infringe on any copyrights or any other rights of any third parties. Entry constitutes permission to use Entrants name, likeness, and voice for future advertising and publicity purposes without additional compensation. Entrant retains all song writing ownership rights for selected song and will split ownership of the music publishing 50-50 with London Tone Music Publishing. A selected Entrant will be required to sign a recording contract and publishing agreement provided by the Company which will outline the Company and Entrant obligations regarding the recording and its release. The recording master will be the property of Company. Company will have the option to sell ownership of the master or license the recording for a multi-track recording release. By entering the contest, Entrant agrees to be bound by all terms of these official Rules and Regulations.

Method of Entry: Log in to www.sonicbids.com and search for 52x52 A Year in Your Ear. Submit MP3 demos of up to 3 songs along with a bio and picture. Video is optional. Include a contact e-mail address, mailing address, and phone number.

How entries will be judged: Song entries are screened by London Tone Music Group management and employees. Entries that pass screening will be sent on for review to a judging committee, consisting of music industry artists and professionals, who will participate in selecting the Entrants that will be asked to record. Due to production logistics and the weekly recording release schedule, London Tone Music reserves the right to include Entrants that meet competition criteria and contest rules that have been pre-screened prior to the public announcement of the competition.

Winner Notification: All selected Entrants names will be posted on www.Sonicbids.com and www.londonbridgestudios.com. Company will notify winners by e-mail and phone. Entrant is responsible for providing up-to-date and correct email address and phone number. Company is not responsible for Entrant's non-receipt of any e-mails or phone messages for any reason, including but not limited to, server or email malfunction
