Summary
The inaugural 80/35 Music Festival will take place on July 4 & 5, 2008 in Western Gateway Park. The name is based on the connection hub of Interstates 80 and 35, which makes Des Moines, Iowa such a great place for bands to play while traveling through the midwest.
50 artists will perform, courtesy of Greater Des Moines Community Foundation and the City of Des Moines who pledged $150,000 to make this event happen.
Selected artists will be compensated. Amounts, etc will vary depending on the artist. All selected artists will have access to the hospitality area and provided with food.
Submissions are open to artists of all genres but 80/35 will mostly book Indie, Jam, Alternative, rock, etc.
