Every January, during Film Festival Week (January 14 - 25, 2009) in Park City, Utah, Access Film-Music hosts live music showcases from the stage of The Spur Bar & Grill at the heart of historic Main Street. Launched in 2004 as Radical Rat Café, this event has grown and evolved to the event now known as Access Film-Music Showcase. They strive to present exceptional independent songwriters and musicians from around the world to film-makers, directors, producers, music supervisors, and others working in the visual media arts.

Other film-related events that take place in Park City during this intense high-traffic period include the Sundance Film Festival, Slamdance Film Festival, the Park City Film-Music Festival, Tromadance, and several smaller film festivals and events. Access Film-Music is an independent company, and the Access Film-Music Showcase is not affiliated with or sanctioned by the Sundance Film Festival, Sundance Institute, or any of the other festivals above.

5 showcase slots during the 2009 Access Film-Music Showcase will be reserved for Sonicbids members. Sonicbids artists that are selected for the 2009 Access Film-Music Showcase will be offered two 50 minute showcase opportunities and will be featured on the Access Film-Music website, as well as promotional materials and press releases. Selected artists will be invited to broadcast their music on AccessFMRadio.net, their online radio network featuring highlights from the extensive Access Film-Music Library. In addition to AccessFMRadio.net, they also deliver music to key decision makers in the visual media via podcasts, CD compilations and innovative delivery methods like iPod-loading, flash drives and hard drives.
