ACM Records presents Battle of the Bands: Giving Students a Chance© aims to accelerate the careers of independent student artists and strives to give back to the music departments that foster the students’ talent. The competition's goal is to raise much needed school funds, aid college and high school students in gaining exposure, and educating them about the music business. The competition's goal is to raise much needed school funds, aid college and high school students in gaining exposure, and educating them about the music business. There are 2 slots reserved for Sonicbids artists. 


ACM Records is looking for the best original indie band from any high school or college in the New Jersey area. The band must have one member that is currently enrolled in a High School or College to compete. in a battle of the bands for a chance to receive many great prizes, including a chance to receive label representation with ACM Records, free studio time at world-class studios and much more. There are a total of 24 slots available: 12 slots for high school bands and 12 slots for college bands (bands will only compete against bands at the same education level). 



There will be a total of three phases within the months of March, April, and May (exact dates TBA). Phase One and Phase Two will take place at a High School and College, in Bergen County, New Jersey, and Phase Three will take place at the Bergen Performing Arts Center in Englewood, NJ, on May 4, 2011. The band must be able to perform at these locations. Upon selection, bands will receive a BOTB Band Kit with rules and regulations. Please see the website for complete details.
