AgapeFest 2011 Battle Of The Bands

AgapeFest 2011 Battle of the Bands is an annual competition that is a part of the Agape Music Festival. The battle takes place on April 9th, with the 5 selected bands moving on to play festival on April 29th. Two of these bands will then continue on to play on the main stage on April 30th. Traditionally, AgapeFest Battle of the Bands accepts bands and artists that play Rock, Pop, Contemporary Christian, or Alternative.

There are two rounds in this Battle of the Bands. The First Rounds is in the Blackroom on the campus of Greenville College. The bands who move on to the next round will then compete for a chance to play on the Second Stage at AgapeFest 2011. The two selected bands will then play on the main stage the next day. Judges for the competition will be members of the festival staff. All lyrics must be clean and appropriate for a Christian music listening audience.



This year, the Battle of the Bands is presented by Word Label Group as part of the Christian Festival Association's national talent search. The winner of the AgapeFest 2011 Battle of the Bands will be entered into a national competition to earn an Artist Developmental deal with Word Label Group.



The event is completely organized and operated by students of Greenville College. AgapeFest has been running annually for over 30 years and is held at the Bond County Fairgrounds in Greenville, IL. It’s primary goals are to exalt Jesus Christ as Lord of all creation through an exciting Christian music ministry, yo provide an experiential learning opportunity for Greenville College students interested in large events planning and concert promotion and to market Greenville College and its exciting Contemporary Christian Music, Music Business, Digital Media, Media Promotions and Public Relations programs.
