AgapeFest 2009 Battle of the Bands

AgapeFest 2009 Battle of the Bands is an annual competition that is a part of the AgapeFest music festival. The event is completely organized and operated by students of Greenville College. AgapeFest has been running annually for over 30 years and is held at the Bond County Fairgrounds in Greenville, IL. Traditionally, AgapeFest Battle of the Bands accepts bands and artists that play Rock, Pop, Contemporary Christian, or Alternative.



This year, the Battle of the Bands is presented by Word Label Group as part of the Christian Festival Association's national talent search. The winner of the AgapeFest 2009 Battle of the Bands will be entered into a national competition to earn an Artist Developmental deal with Word Label Group.



There are two rounds in this Battle of the Bands. The First Rounds takes place Saturday, April 4th in the Blackroom on the campus of Greenville College. The bands who move on to the next round will compete on Friday, May 1st. The bands will play on the Second Stage at AgapeFest 2009. The two winners will then play on Main Stage the next day.



Judges for the competition will be members of the festival staff. All lyrics must be clean and appropriate for a Christian music listening audience.
