The winner will get a free flight to Australia to attend the ceremony and get extensive exposure among the very best Australian musicians and industry professionals.

Now into their second decade, the awards seek to provide recognition and incentive to Australian filmmakers and musicians. In recent years, the scope of the event has expanded internationally, pulling in a diverse range of talented emerging acts. This year, the awards will be presenting a special Sonicbids International Music Video category.



The winner of this category will receive:


  • A free flight to Australia to attend the ceremony

  • Extensive exposure among the very best Australian musicians and industry professionals

This year’s awards will take place on January 13th, 2012 at a quality theater (TBA). The Australian Independent Music Video Awards receive no funding or assistance from commonwealth or state government agencies.



Last year’s winner for “Best International Music Video” was the Thomas Oliver Band with “Goin’ Home”.
