Alarm Magazine is an independently owned & operated magazine that features diverse music coverage. They are seeking submissions for reviews and features in the magazine. Alarm’s circulation is in the tens of thousands and is available at major retailers worldwide./n/nFounded in 1995 by independent publisher Chris Force, ALARM has stood for 15 years as a bastion of freethinking music and art, unconstrained by the mainstream marketplace. ALARM’s pages are filled with an eclectic range of musicians and visual artists. Inside, you will discover music that spans chasms of style, from dub-driven alt-metal to anti-establishment Afrobeat, punk-inspired hip hop, and neoclassical IDM.

From their headquarters in a small Chicago office, along with a cast of contributing writers and photographers spread around the country, they listen to thousands of CDs, view hundreds of gallery openings, and attend lectures and live concerts in order to present inspirational artists who are fueled by an honest and contagious obsession with their art.

In 2009, ALARM transitioned from a magazine to a quarterly series of collector-quality books, publishing timeless profiles of groundbreaking individuals and encouraging readers to revisit each issue. In July of 2010, ALARM relaunched, featuring a dynamic new design and expanded content while retaining its high editorial and photographic standards.

ALARM is seeking submissions for reviews and features in the book and on the website. Please note: to be reviewed, an artist must have a release within the past 6 months. Additionally, artists who provide a 3-month lead time will be given priority.
