Alive Festival Talent Search Competition 2009

Alive Festival is in it’s 22nd year and is a 4 day/4 night Contemporary Christian music festival held at the beautiful, 500-acre Clay's Park in northeastern Ohio (just south of Cleveland). Over 20,000 people attend each day from 40 states & Canada.

Alive is one of the nation’s largest Christian music festivals with 3 stages - a beach stage, a woods stage and a large outdoor natural amphitheater with a huge sound & lighting system plus two giant LED video walls and food vendors, festival marketplace, attractions and a variety of activities for all ages.

This year's Alive online competition will allow online voters to choose the top 10 artists from submitted EPKs to perform "live" at the 22nd Annual Alive Festival, June 17-20th, 2009 at ALIVE 09 in Canal Fulton, Ohio. Those 10 artists will compete for the Grand Prize of representing ALIVE 09 in the national competition along with other participating CFA festivals in the fall of 09.

The 10 artists that are selected from online voting will be given a live performance (30 minutes) at the festival and one GRAND PRIZE winner will be selected and will go on to perform in the national talent search competition in Nashville. The national winner will receive a developmental deal with Word Records.

Artists selected to perform in the Talent Search portion of the festival will be provided with food and get to keep 100% of merchandise sales. Additionally, Alive will provide basic backline for artists to use that includes drum set, bass amp and 2 guitar amps. Keyboards are the responsibility of the artist(s).

Original contemporary Christian music preferred, but not required. The most important criterion is that there are no offensive lyrics. Styles accepted include: Rock, Alternative Rock, Hard Rock, Hip-Hop & Rap, Gospel, Acoustic, Folk and Adult Contemporary.
