Summary

Band submitting to ALIVE 10 through Sonicbids will compete for fan votes and the Top 20 bands will perform live at the festival for the chance to face off at the Christian Festival Association's national talent competition in Nashville to win a development deal with Word Records./n/nAlive Festival is in its 23rd year and is a 4 day/4 night Contemporary Christian music festival held at the beautiful Atwood Lake Park in Mineral City, Ohio. Over 20,000 people from 40 states & Canada attend each day.


Alive is one of the nation’s largest Christian music festivals with 3 music performance stages - a beach stage, a woods stage and a large outdoor natural amphitheater with a huge sound & lighting system plus two giant LED video walls and food vendors, festival marketplace, attractions and a variety of activities for all ages.


Artists among the Top 20 selected through fan voting will be required to purchase regular price tickets to Alive Festival. EPK Registrations & Submissions will be accepted through April 1st. Voting will open April 2nd through May 15th, 2010.


This year's Alive online competition will allow artists & bands to be listed on ALIVE FESTIVAL website link to the contest on sonicbids.com and allow online voters to choose the top 20 artists from submitted EPKs to perform live at the 23rd Annual Alive Festival, June 23-26th, 2010, ALIVE 10 at Atwood Lake Park. Those 20 artists will compete for the Grand Prize of performing 2 songs on main stage on SAT June 26th and also representing ALIVE 10 in the national competition along with other participating CFA festivals in the fall of 2010.


The 20 artists that are selected from online voting will be given a live performance (2 songs-approx. 10 minutes each) at the festival in the WOODS STAGE and one GRAND PRIZE winner will be selected by a panel of judges and will go on to perform one song on main stage and represent ALIVE 10 in the CFA National Talent Search Finals Competition in Nashville in the fall of 2010 (date to be determined). The national winner will receive a developmental deal with Word Records.


Artists selected to perform in the Talent Search portion of the festival will be able to attend the day of their performance for a discounted day pass of $32 per person for band members, technicians or performers. Alive One Day Passes are good from 9 am until midnight on the day of your performance. Due to space limitations, the festival will not be able to offer booth space or meals for talent search artists. Alive will provide basic backline for artists to use that includes drum set, bass amp and 2 guitar amps. Keyboards are the responsibility of the artist(s).


Original contemporary Christian music is preferred, but not required. The most important criterion is that there are no offensive lyrics. Styles accepted include: Rock, Alternative Rock, Hard Rock, Hip-Hop & Rap, Gospel, Acoustic, Folk and Adult Contemporary.
