Almost Famous Showcase

Since July 2004, close to 200 artists have graced the Almost Famous Stage. Verseus Entertainment Group developed the show to provide an outlet to expose above caliber artists to a group of elite industry professionals, media, and consumers. Attracting performers throughout the Southeast and beyond, Almost Famous has quickly become the hottest showcase and networking event in Atlanta for emerging artists.



Verseus Entertainment presents the Almost Famous Showcase Series. We are looking for the top Hip-Hop, R&B, and Pop artist in five major markets beginning this fall, starting in New York City on September 6. Each of the showcases will feature artists from each market performing and competing for a grand prize package worth $1,000. Showcase competitions in Los Angeles, St. Louis, Miami, and Houston will soon follow. The grand finale show in Atlanta will have the winners of the previous competitions, competing for a chance to win a $2,500 in cash and more prizes to be revealed later. Please note that this specific opportunity is for the New York show ONLY. We will open up opportunities for the other shows as soon dates and details are confirmed.



In addition to the opportunity to perform at the grand finale show in Atlanta, winners of each showcase will have the opportunity to participate in a photo shoot, have their band featured on our website, and have articles on the band published in an e-newsletter and in a local publication. For a small performance sponsorship fee, artists can be featured on promotional items and Almost Famous merchandise and have their song featured on the Almost Famous Mix-Tape Volume 2 as well. This optional fee will also cover pictures and video of your performance.



Our showcases average 350 in attendance and have many of the top executives and decision-makers in the industry watching. The best in musical talent and the respected industry leaders will be judging the competition as well.

Special guest performers at the showcase have included So So Def Recording Artists Dem Franchise Boys, Aftermath Recording Artist Gage, BME Recording Artist Bohagen, Gucci Mane, Russell Simmons Music Group Recording Artist Short Dawg, Apphilliates Music Group Rap Duo The Replacementz, Jove Recording Artist Young Noah, and Slip N Slide/Def Jam Recording Artist Citty aka Cookie Man.
