The deadline is approaching to submit to the Alternate Root, an online magazine is looking for rock artists who blend country, blues and folk into their songs. They have agreed to select a minimum of one Sonicbids artist to have their album reviewed and be included in the Featured Artists section of the magazine. Selected artists will appear along with both major and independent label artists./n/nThe Alternate Root, a popular online roots music magazine, is looking for rock artists who blend country, blues and folk into their songs. Selected artists will appear along with both major and independent label artists.
The Featured Artist review runs with a free, short term download for the ten days that the review is up online. They will promote the feature through Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, and an e-mail blast to nearly 10,000 subscribers. For this opportunity they are seeking rock artists with country, blues or folk elements in their music. Songs should have strong structure and catchy hooks (both musical and lyrical), and the musicianship level should be high.
