Summary

Alvernia College is a private college with over 2,600 students nestled in the scenic Blue Mountains of Eastern Pennsylvania, specifically in Reading, PA. They book a variety of entertainment on campus throughout the school year and have a preference for NACA agency acts. Alvernia typically books one semester in advance, and is currently accepting submissions for the Fall 2008 and Spring 2009 semesters.



  • Comedy- Alvernia generally presents comedy once a month. A PA system is provided, and comedians perform in the Bernardine Hall lecture hall (capacity of 200).



  • Coffeehouse- The school hosts coffeehouse acts once or twice per month in the Crusader CafĂ© (capacity of 50). PA system may be provided.



  • Hypnotists and Novelty Acts- The school brings in at least one hypnotist per semester and one novelty act per month. A PA system is provided, and hypnotists perform in the Bernardine Hall lecture hall (capacity of 200).



  • Concerts- Alvernia hosts two big concerts per semester, typical one at the beginning and end of each semester. These concerts feature multiple acts and take place in the campus auditorium (capacity of 500). Original indie rock, pop, and college friendly acts and Top 40 cover bands are welcome to submit. No hip hop, jazz, or classical, please.



  • Game Shows- Typically two game shows are booked to entertain Alvernia students per semester.


    Artists will be compensated for their performances with a negotiable, flat fee inclusive of travel/lodging. Local, national and touring acts are welcome to submit.
