Summary

The 8th annual Americana Music Conference is expected to bring over 900 executives, professionals and artists together from all over the world, representing all facets of our industry, to the Nashville Convention Center October 31 - November 3, 2007. The AMA Conference will feature up to 60 showcase or performance slots for both established and emerging artists. These opportunities include both daytime slots and off-site evening showcases on three nights, as well as the 6th annual Honors & Awards, which will be presented at the Ryman Auditorium on Thursday, November 1.



The Americana Music Conference also features numerous panels, seminars, a trade show, parties and much more. This special event covers the interests and needs of artists, managers, labels, radio stations, publishers, agents, promoters, retailers, performing rights, legal and business affairs, tour-related services, merchandisers, new media and all related allied professionals.



Genres accepted include Americana, Roots, Alt.country, Folk, Bluegrass and Blues. Submissions will be reviewed on an ongoing basis and all artists will be notified no later than August 31, 2007.



The 2006 Conference featured 70 established and developing acts, covering a broad range of styles, including: The Hunger Mountain Boys, Garrison Starr, Jon langford, John Dee Graham, Claire Lynch, Abigail Washburn, Elizabeth Cook, The Hacienda Brothers, Ruthie Foster, Amy LaVere, Shawn Mullins, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Mindy Smith, Dave Alvin, Dale Watson, Marty Stuart and His Fabulous Superlatives, Tony Joe White, Jim Lauderdale, The Gourds and many more.
