The American Sound Contest was created by a network of Nashville songwriters and songwriting professionals in answer to the frustrations musicians face when they enter the larger song-writing competitions. In addition to the contest, each month they'll spotlight an entry (not necessarily a winner) on their featured artist page. They plan to feature artists while still accepting submissions, and spread the word about artists they believe in. While being featured isn't an indication that you will be a winner, it's a great way to connect with fans and brag to your mailing list.



The Grand Prize Winner will receive $1000

1st Place will receive $500

2nd Place will receive $300



All genres are accepted and encouraged, because they believe the "American Sound" is the combined voice of a nation full of independent musicians.
