The Appel Farm Arts & Music Festival is a one-day, open-air event held on the first Saturday in June each year. The Festival debuted in 1989 and attracts 8,000 - 10,000 people.

The festival features internationally renowned performing songwriters, acoustic rock, folk, jazz, Celtic and blues musicians on two outdoor stages; a Crafts Fair which showcases the work of 60 artists; and a "Children's Village," presenting performers and arts & crafts activities.

In past years this outdoor festival has featured artists such as Jackson Browne, Ani DiFranco, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Los Lonely Boys, Shawn Colvin, Joan Armatrading, Little Feat, Robert Cray, Arlo Guthrie, Rufus Wainwright, Aimee Mann, Mavis Staples and many emerging and regional performers.

First Fridays @ The Gallery is a series for emerging artists at the center’s gallery (capacity 50). Past performers include Sam Shaber, John Francis and Kate Gaffney.

All selected artists are compensated for their performance. Sound is provided. Backline provided as needed. Submissions are accepted year-round. The festival is booked between November and February. Concerts are booked three to six months in advance.
