Aputumpu showcase at Northside Festival (Official)

Aputumpu is a blog of rising bands/Djs and live acts in Brooklyn and beyond.

Aputumpu is looking to add about 3 bands from the Philly, Boston and NJ scenes to our upcoming Northside showcase which will feature some "local and rising stars" from the Bushwick/Williamsburg scenes.

Aputumpu is proudly curating a Sunday brunch to evening showcase featuring about a dozen bands at this year's Northside showcase. Their showcases have attracted excellent bands, exciting bloggers and an excellent crowd/audience, heck, a few bands have been offered management deals and agency through discovery at their local showcases. On top of that they have served as the cornerstone of the BK scene in exposing the next frontier of bands to be breaking out.

They encourage touring bands to make friends, exchange details, offer each other shows and build long lasting relationships and always let them know when they are in town. That's the way it's supposed to be. Aputumpu has very limited spots, and while they can't book everyone, they promise to listen to EVERY submission because knowing who is out there and what they sound like is very important. Even more, a band that might not fit what they have coming up might fit a future project they might have in mind.

The promoter cares about draw but a band's sound, attitude towards their work, audience and passion for what they are doing stands is of even greater importance than their draw.
